3G and WiFi capability.
If you haven’t managed to upgrade your mobile to a SmartPhone yet you’ll probably not be familiar with the terms 3G or WiFi.
3G
3G stands for 3rd Generation. It is a term which describes a function of the newer mobile phones which allows owners to access a wider range of data services.
Typically these services include surfing the internet, checking email, social networking and watching TV and videos.
If you have a SmartPhone with 3G you will be able to access these services using your monthly 3G allocation provided by your telco. Typically these allocations range from 1GB upwards per month.
StaunchTalk bypasses your phones normal method of calling through your network by accessing this 3G capability to connect you to the Staunch Global Network.
WiFi
WiFi is pretty much the same technology as 3G except your phone has decided to use another network instead of your Telco’s monthly allocation.
This happens when your phone has been set to detect outside networks and connects to them when within range. To activate your phone to detect outside networks you should check the manual that came with your phone.
